Abstract

Abstract
Introduction One of the benefits of energy analysis is to provide a basic basis for protecting resources, determining the energy consumed in each production process, determining the steps that require the least energy input, and assisting in sustainable management. Increasing the productivity of production inputs (input energies) is the ultimate goal of sustainable agricultural systems. The purpose of this study is to investigate the state of energy consumption in the sugar industry and compare the optimization of energy consumption indicators using two meta-heuristic algorithms.
Materials and Methods the evaluation of energy indicators and its environmental effects in the sugar production industry in Dehkhoda Sugarcane Agro-Industry Company was carried out. For this purpose, data collection in the agricultural year 2019-2019 was done in different ways, including completing questionnaires, recorded information, discussions and interviews with experts, using statistics available in libraries and some databases, and in different stages, the statistics and information available in the studied agriculture and industry company, as well as the agricultural statistics of the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad and the energy balance sheet were used. The data were evaluated using MATLAB statistical software and Equinonet database and compared and analyzed by two methods: genetic algorithm and colonial competition algorithm.
Results and Discussion The results showed that in most of the indicators studied in the colonial competition algorithm method, the optimization of energy consumption is preferable to the genetic algorithm method, and in addition to reducing the environmental effects of this profitable industry in the country, it has a high potential to save energy consumption. So that in the total energy of the inputs in the genetic algorithm, 17.05% and in the colonial competition algorithm, the optimization value was calculated as 26.40%. The amount of reduction in natural gas consumption was reported by 3.82% in the genetic algorithm method and 27.60% in the colonial competition algorithm method. The amount of direct energy saving in the genetic algorithm method was 16.97% and in the colonial competition algorithm method, it was evaluated as 27.48%. In the colonial competition algorithm method, the reduction in soil acidification was 23.03% and in the genetic algorithm method, it was 19.19% compared to the conditions before optimization.
Conclusion In general, it can be concluded that according to the increasing need for sugar production and other complementary industries related to this valuable industry, as well as the high efficiency of the sugar production industry, it is better to use the knowledge of the experts, than the method meta-heuristics should be used to optimize energy consumption and available inputs with the aim of reducing harmful environmental effects.
