چکیده

ایران با تولید سالانه 1.7 میلیون تن خیار، چهارمین تولیدکننده این محصول در سطح دنیاست، از سوی دیگر وجود بذر مناسب یکی از مهم‌ترین عوامل در افزایش تولید خیار است. در این پژوهش به درخواست یکی از شرکت‌های تولید بذر، دستگاهی برای استخراج بذر از محصول خیار بذری طراحی و ساخته شد و کارایی آن مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفت. اجزای کاری دستگاه دو مارپیچ چپ‌گرد و راست‌گرد هستند که در هنگام چرخش باعث خارج شدن پیوسته بذرها از داخل محصول خیار بذری می‌شوند. توان دورانی مارپیچ‌ها توسط یک موتور الکتریکی با قدرت یک اسب بخار تأمین شد و به کمک سیستم انتقال توان پولی و تسمه‌ای به محور مارپیچ‌ها منتقل گردید. برای راه‌اندازی و توقف آرام موتور و امکان‌پذیر شدن تغییر سرعت آن، موتور الکتریکی به یک راه‌انداز الکترونیکی مجهز شد. برای ارزیابی دستگاه، ظرفیت و نرخ استخراج بذر توسط ماشین با پارامترهای مشابه در روش دستی مقایسه شد و مقدار محصول در نقطه سر به سر اقتصادی تعیین گردید. برمبنای نتایج به‌دست آمده به‌کارگیری دستگاه با ظرفیت کامل باعث کاهش 15 نفری در تعداد کارگران مورد نیاز برای استخراج بذر به روش دستی می‌شود. همچنین وزن محصول در نقطه سر به سر اقتصادی برابر با 7.7 تن برآورد شد که از نظر زمانی با به‌کار بردن دستگاه به‌طور مداوم به مدت 25.3 ساعت حاصل می‌شود.
